Lucia Esther Munoz Maceo.  Poetess, one of the most outstanding voices of Granma lyric, known for her work as "the bride of Bayamo".  Her poems have appeared in numerous national and foreign publications.  She holds the Distinction for National Culture.

 Work history

All her work has a deep patriotic and revolutionary content, especially in the way it reflects the country's history, the daily life of Cuba and the love of the native.  Her work transcends the borders of her country, reflecting revolutionary themes with Latin America and other countries.  She has been part of delegations made up of leading figures of Cuban letters such as Carilda Oliver, Miguel Barnet, Luis Suardíaz  among many others.  She is a member of the National Union of Writers and Artists of Cuba (UNEAC) and served as president of the provincial branch of this organization for ten years.  She is a specialist in cultural promotion, work that she projects through various spaces, among them: the literary club Un café con Lucía, in the Guajiro Natural Cultural Recreational Complex, of which she is the hostess.  Her poems have been published in national and foreign newspapers.
