Recognized as "the singer of the revolution", he used his music to spread the values ​​of the Cuban Revolution, singing the most relevant events and being a chronicler of the changes that have occurred in his country since 1959.

 He cultivated the most diverse genres of Cuban popular music, such as the bolero, the son, the guaracha, the sucu-sucu, all worked with the rhythmic and stylistic characteristics that they demand, uniting his music faculties, to the one of poet.

Jorge Berlanga Acosta

Outstanding Cuban researcher.  Project manager of the Center for Genetic Engineering and Biotechnology.  Member of the Council of State of the Republic of Cuba since April 19, 2018, being re-elected in the extraordinary session of the IX Legislature of the National Assembly of People's Power held on October 10, 2019, a position he will hold until the year 2023.

One of the brilliant and multifaceted pedagogues that Cuba had in the 20th century.

 Born on June 2, 1920, Montero dedicated more than 70 years to the exercise of teaching at various levels of education, recognizing as his greatest satisfaction being able “to see my students of yesterday converted into beings superior to everything I could teach them”.

Poetess, one of the most outstanding voices of Granma lyric, known for her work as "the bride of Bayamo".  Her poems have appeared in numerous national and foreign publications.  She holds the Distinction for National Culture.
