The bell was the typical object of communication to summon the slaves daily.  On October 10, 1868, his last call made it possible for Céspedes to harangue the contingent of men formed around him and inform them about the ills that Cuba was suffering, with the purpose of making them aware of the need to immediately start the revolutionary contest. 

Jesús Menéndez left the “Telégrafo” Hotel in Bayamo and visited several sugar mills on his way.  On the way back, he left for the town of Yara, with the aim of taking the train to Bayamo. t an invitation from Paquito Rosales they board the train from Manzanillo.  It was 8:20 pm when the train entered the city of the gulf.  Manuel Quesada and Paquito Rosales were already going down, followed by Menéndez and Casillas.

La Glorieta is made up of a hexagonal floor plan that rises more than a meter from the ground, with an exterior plinth veneered with glazed ceramic tiles and interlocking drawings, apparently complicated, endowed with beautiful traces, all polychrome with brilliant simplicity.

18 semicircular arches stand out in the building, stilted and multi-lobed, which are supported, in turn, by 24 lean paired columns that rest on small bases with thin and ringed shafts.

The building, in an eclectic style, has one level and is developed in a circular shape in one corner.
